Chairman's Walk was created for the Isle of Walney Estates Company Chairman, providing him with a 'short cut' from the 'newly' constructed Vickerstown Estate to the Company's office at the foot of Sepulchre Hill. The last resident of the office/s prior to them beinf purchsed by the owners of the Ferry Hotel, was non other tham Mr. O Woods a locally renowned business man.
