ISLAND CLEAN UP, time TBC.

Would anyone be interested in getting a group of volunteers to clear some of the illegal tipping left in Cows Tarn lane overwinter. People regularly eat their lunches in the lay-by' and throw the rubbish in the hedge, someone even had the nerve to dump garden waste by the entrance to the footpath at the west shore park end. Soon the plants will be too high and collecting the rubbish will be more difficult. We will need special "grabbers", protective gloves and containers for the rubbish - no idea where to get that kind of thing - but maybe Mr Barlow has an idea or contacts. We might also combine a collection with an approach to the council for litter bins in the lay-bys (is that right? it doesn't look right!!)
