MARGATE STREET - Walney Island
The picture below, which was taken prior to 1953 is one of those more interesting pictures on the site and was donated by a visitor. It is taken at the east of Hastings Street and to the west of what is now Margate Street. If you look closely enough you can just see the Vickerstown Institute on the left and also Saint Mary's Church to the right. I have said many times throughout this site, but let me say again, it is these pictures that make the site what it is, keep them coming...
