WEST SHORE ROAD - Walney Island (aka: Airship Shed Road)
West Shore Road began it's life as Airship Shed Road and was an access road constructed to serve the Airship Shed that had been built on the site for Vickers Sons & Maxim, in order to develop the Admiralty's airship construction programme.
