I've been looking for:

WINKLES ON WALNEY

Lyrics by Dick Thompson and Music by Wyn Large. The song 'I've been looking for winkles on Walney' was written in 1938 for the  pantomime ? Cinderella? at His Majesties Theatre in Albert Street, Barrow.  Dick Thompson, a member of the cast, wrote the song and Wyn Large was the pianist in the resident theatre orchestra:

Chorus

I?VE BEEN LOOKING FOR WINKLES ON WALNEY, WALNEY, WALNEY,

I?VE BEEN LOOKING FOR WINKLES ON WALNEY, WALNEY BY THE SEA,

I?LL GO BACK TOMORROW, FOR MUCH TO MY SORROW,

MY BROWN PAPER BAG WOULD NOT HOLD ANY MORE,

I?VE BEEN LOOKING FOR WINKLES ON WALNEY

WALNEY S-H-O-R-E.
